It was born from the encounter between three entrepreneurial realities of the world of culture, the Vittorio Cini Archive Foundation, The Merchant of Venice and Museyoum, excellences in their respective sectors, to keep alive, develop and spread, also in synergy with other institutions, the centuries-old Venetian tradition of handicraft production and trade of refined artistic and consumer goods and high quality services (from books to glass, perfume, gifts, merchandising and today virtual and immersive reality). It promotes the collection and presentation, also in various multimedia forms, of documentation on the protagonists of social, cultural, historical and artistic life, training in the arts and technology, research and experimentation, in an absolutely innovative way, of engaging events and experiences. Bottega Cini is a new Concept Store, a point of dialogue between culture and companies not only from Venice. It aims to create a new type of Museum Shop, a Renaissance workshop reinterpreted in a contemporary key. In its commercial space it combines the Venetian perfumery art of The Merchant of Venice with other excellences of the territory, such as Impiraressa Marisa Convento, who establishes herself inside the Bottega with her own laboratory, the glassworks NasonMoretti, Ercole Moretti, the Marsilio and Lineadacqua publishing houses, the ancient Toscolano 1381 artisan paper mill, Giancarlo Franco Tramontin’s sculptures, Saverio Pastor’s forcole, Gianpaolo Fallani’s silk-screen prints, Geminiano Cozzi 1765 porcelain and other artisan and artistic businesses that are gradually being added.
